Spikes and Taupe.

I wore this easy breezy comfortable outfit to run errands. I didn't feel like doing my hair at all, so I opted for the fishtail braid. First time ever doing it with my hair wet and it still dryed and looked normal, so I totally recommend for school or work when you're in a rush or not feeling well. Totally looks put together and cute.

These shoes are brand new from Charlotte Russe. I ordered them online and have yet to see them in the store. They are super comfy to first put on, but after hours in them I got a blister...so they need to be broken in and then they will be fine. Also, not completely thrilled with the size. They are a little right for my normal size 6 foot. They also have them in black on black.

Houndstooth: Back to School/ Work Look.

Before I went on vacation, I started a little fall shopping online. I came home to a few great packages, however I wasn't thrilled with all of my items. I guess that is the gamble of online shopping right?

This top is super cute and great for fall/winter. You can dress it up or down play it with jeans and some flats. It's light weight and was only $13! I absolutely love the color of these shorts and to be honest, I never tried high-waisted anything before. Well although the color is great, the cut is entirely off for my body frame and size. The high-waist made my already short legs look even shorter. I originally liked the tie in front as well, but once on it made my mid section look puffy and completely unflattering. This material gets wrinkled very easily and I hate that, I hate looking sloppy.

I am going to look for a pencil skirt in this color or maybe some coords and swap put the shorts. Overall, I like the entire outfit.

This is a perfect look for back to school or back to work. If you are not in need of the height, I would opt for some bright colored loafers to offset the busy top.

Summer Vacation Recap.

So sorry my blog babies, it has been exactly 18 days since I made a post! I am horrible. In my defense I was on vacation for about 23 days :) Let's see where to start...I started in NY (home sweet home) and then headed with my family to our annual summer destination, CAPE COD! (I love it there, which I already briefly spoke about in my previous post)

After our New England vacation commenced, my sister headed back to Texas with me for another vacation. It was her first time seeing my new life and seeing Texas itself. Like myself, she expected it to be very country and well...very Texan. Growing up in NY, you already have pre-conceived notions of the South and of Texas. Thankfully, my new home is just lovely and although it is not NY, it is treating me just fine.

We are beach babies at heart and I haven't seen too much of the Gulf Coast here, so we started in Port Aransas. It was super pretty and the water was so warm. I honestly never go in the ocean, but I did here. We went horseback riding on the beach, something I have ALWAYS wanted to do. It was pretty awesome riding a horse down the beach. My only regret was the time frame we went. I wish we would have waited another few months until it was as hot out to go. After the beach we went to San Antonio and then just shopped around Houston.

Below are some photos of my adventures...new fashion photos will be up this weekend. Thanks for visiting!

Neon Fringe.

Ahh I wish I could live on vacation. The only thing missing is my boyfriend (and my fashion photographer!)..no, but seriously I feel like I haven't seen him in a year. Today was another perfect beach day. I ordered this suit a month ago and shipped it to NY, so I had not seen it until I got here. It is the knockoff version of the L*Space suit. I love Ashley Tisdale in it, of course she has an amazing body which makes any bathing suit or outfit flawless. Other celebs wearing fringe bikini's this summer are Rihanna, Denise Richards, Audrina Patridge and Lindsay Lohoan. I ended up really liking mine, but the bottoms seem like they are extra extra extra small (weird and annoying). I decided to wear it on a day that I really wasnt trying to get a tan. I kept my shorts on and ran around after my niece so it worked out fine. When I ordered it said it was yellow, but it's more like neon green. I like it though, a decent buy for  $12!

Ashley Tisdale photo taken from here.

After spending the day at the beach we went to dinner and then shopping in Province Town. It is always breezy there right by the water. I completely forgot a hair tie...so wind whipped wasn't even the word.

Beaching it.

Today was a good ole' fashion beach day, followed by some homemade ice cream from the Polar Cave Ice Cream Parlor. Since I got my hair dyed the day before I left for vacation, I was worried about going straight into the sun with it. Also, I wash my hair so much on vacation...another problem with a brand new dye job. My hair dresser's advice was to keep it wet and conditioned, tied up and covered. So I did just that....it seemed to work out nicely and kept me cool. I wore my fedora, to keep my bangs from annoying me. It was a good choice , because the wind kicked up here and there.

Pre-beach routine.

Pre-beach and while at the beach, I applied sunscreen and lip balm (with spf). I have been trying to watch what I eat, mostly because I hate how bad food makes me feel (sluggish) so I ate a nice healthy breakfast and resisted the chips at the beach and ate some strawberries and an apple. Usually I am craving salty foods (chips or french fries). After relaxing on the beach, my sister and I were pretty energized so we went for a run...we did about a mile (I wasn't THAT energized). I dont mind working out, but I hate running. I think being in a beach town though definitely takes your mind off of it ;)

Beach essentials.

After the beach and after a great shower. There is nothing better than moisturizing your face with this Neutrogena Oil Free Moisturizer and Bananna Boat's After Sun Lotion. I tried thousands of moisturizers, from really expensive to really cheap...nothing did what it said. The Neutrogena product for combination skin did! It feels so light and I use it everyday.

Post beach routine.

The salt water in the air was a little too much for me today to bring out my camera, so sorry my phone pics will have to do for now!

Polka Dots: Peaches and Cream.

Vacation started a few hours ago!  Today we arrived in MA for a week at the beach. I am so looking forward to relaxing and spending time with my family. Before our trip, I ran errands with my fam and also got my hair done (sorry for the roots in my pics, new pics to come!) This was a simple outfit for the hot day. I love the nude and orange combo!

Summer Outfit: Good & Plenty.

Yesterday was the most perfect day! I got to do what I love (take photos) AND my sweet, loving, funny, handsome, GREAT boyfriend gave me a Michael Kors bag for our anniversary!

I spent the first half of the day in the house cleaning and packing (I am going back home to NY/MA for two weeks). It was brutally hot and I had an engagement photo shoot booked for the evening. Here in TX, it doesn't cool down until the sun goes down. I definitely needed something I could be cool and comfortable in while shooting. I completely forgot I owned these shorts. Many thanks to my friend who pointed them out to me when we hit up the VS Semi Annual back in June :) I love neons (obviously). This necklace has come in handy so many times, I am so happy that I bought it. I originally bought it to go on a trip to Miami. I wear it a lot, it works with so many looks. My niece broke it the first day I wore it, but thankfully you can't even tell.

I went early to test out the lighting and figure out some shots at the engagement shoot location. We decided to snap a few of my outfit too. The engagement photo shoot went awesome! I would rather be the one taking the phots than modeling, any day. It's so fun for me and does not feel like work one bit. I primarily photograph children and babies, so this was my first engaement session and it was a great success.

Oh and how could I forget my beautiful new bag?? Thanks again to my love, I am one lucky girl!
