Dusty Pink.
Well, it hasn't felt like FALL down here yet. Getting dressed lately has left me feeling confused to say the least. It is still super hot, but my mind is like hello, you can't put on neon shorts mid-September! Last week during my Kohl's trip, I found this awesome LC by Lauren Conrad thin blouse/ blazer/ jacket. It is very light weight and perfect for down here. I wore a black tank under it and thin black pants. The piece was only $8.00! I love the dusty pink color and black trim. You can dress it up even more with some accessories and heels. It would also work with jeans and a pony tail, for a pulled together yet comfortable look.

Kohl's haul!
Last night I did some damage at Kohl's. Above are some of the items I got on sale. I've said it before, I love Kohl's, but ONLY when there is a sale and I have a coupon (this time it was 30%). If there is no coupon involved, I really can't justify spending money in there. The shirt was $14, shoes $11 and scarf $10. I got some other things like a cute flannel shift for the bf, a breakfast griddle we really needed and many more pieces of clothing for moi.
If you have a card, then you received a coupon and if you don't have a card you will get the coupon when opening up one. I hate having credit cards and what I hate even more is store credit cards (but you're only entitled to the coupons if you're a card holder). Anyways since it isnt that often, it works out fine for me to have the card and reap the benefits!
Oh you also get $10 Kohl's cash back for every $50 you spend. The Kohl's cash is basically like a gift card to the store with a specific time frame for redemption. Nonetheless, who deosn't like money back?!
Happy shopping! :)

Burgundy Wine.
Loving the burgundy/wine color for Fall. Last week I picked out some favorites from a few sites, and I never got to uploading (sorry!) until now. Two items are no longer on the website or I just didn't see them again. Unfortunately H & M doesn't have an online store, so it is hit or miss if you go out hunting for this stuff. I purchased #1 and a shirt similar to #4 (I wore a cream colored version to Houston's FNO with jeans and spiked flats).
This weekend we went out for drinks with some new friends and I wore my burgundy colored jeans. They are SO COMFORTABLE. They were $15, so I think that makes me love them even more. They photograph with a purple-ish tone (annoying), but not the case in person.
I hear everyone in NY is enjoying the crisp Fall air and just hearing that makes me a little homesick! It's been cooler here in Houston, but we are still high 80's-90...

Spikes and Taupe.
I wore this easy breezy comfortable outfit to run errands. I didn't feel like doing my hair at all, so I opted for the fishtail braid. First time ever doing it with my hair wet and it still dryed and looked normal, so I totally recommend for school or work when you're in a rush or not feeling well. Totally looks put together and cute.
These shoes are brand new from Charlotte Russe. I ordered them online and have yet to see them in the store. They are super comfy to first put on, but after hours in them I got a blister...so they need to be broken in and then they will be fine. Also, not completely thrilled with the size. They are a little right for my normal size 6 foot. They also have them in black on black.

Houndstooth: Back to School/ Work Look.
Before I went on vacation, I started a little fall shopping online. I came home to a few great packages, however I wasn't thrilled with all of my items. I guess that is the gamble of online shopping right?
This top is super cute and great for fall/winter. You can dress it up or down play it with jeans and some flats. It's light weight and was only $13! I absolutely love the color of these shorts and to be honest, I never tried high-waisted anything before. Well although the color is great, the cut is entirely off for my body frame and size. The high-waist made my already short legs look even shorter. I originally liked the tie in front as well, but once on it made my mid section look puffy and completely unflattering. This material gets wrinkled very easily and I hate that, I hate looking sloppy.
I am going to look for a pencil skirt in this color or maybe some coords and swap put the shorts. Overall, I like the entire outfit.
This is a perfect look for back to school or back to work. If you are not in need of the height, I would opt for some bright colored loafers to offset the busy top.

Summer Vacation Recap.
So sorry my blog babies, it has been exactly 18 days since I made a post! I am horrible. In my defense I was on vacation for about 23 days :) Let's see where to start...I started in NY (home sweet home) and then headed with my family to our annual summer destination, CAPE COD! (I love it there, which I already briefly spoke about in my previous post)
After our New England vacation commenced, my sister headed back to Texas with me for another vacation. It was her first time seeing my new life and seeing Texas itself. Like myself, she expected it to be very country and well...very Texan. Growing up in NY, you already have pre-conceived notions of the South and of Texas. Thankfully, my new home is just lovely and although it is not NY, it is treating me just fine.
We are beach babies at heart and I haven't seen too much of the Gulf Coast here, so we started in Port Aransas. It was super pretty and the water was so warm. I honestly never go in the ocean, but I did here. We went horseback riding on the beach, something I have ALWAYS wanted to do. It was pretty awesome riding a horse down the beach. My only regret was the time frame we went. I wish we would have waited another few months until it was as hot out to go. After the beach we went to San Antonio and then just shopped around Houston.
Below are some photos of my adventures...new fashion photos will be up this weekend. Thanks for visiting!

Neon Fringe.
Ahh I wish I could live on vacation. The only thing missing is my boyfriend (and my fashion photographer!)..no, but seriously I feel like I haven't seen him in a year. Today was another perfect beach day. I ordered this suit a month ago and shipped it to NY, so I had not seen it until I got here. It is the knockoff version of the L*Space suit. I love Ashley Tisdale in it, of course she has an amazing body which makes any bathing suit or outfit flawless. Other celebs wearing fringe bikini's this summer are Rihanna, Denise Richards, Audrina Patridge and Lindsay Lohoan. I ended up really liking mine, but the bottoms seem like they are extra extra extra small (weird and annoying). I decided to wear it on a day that I really wasnt trying to get a tan. I kept my shorts on and ran around after my niece so it worked out fine. When I ordered it said it was yellow, but it's more like neon green. I like it though, a decent buy for $12!

After spending the day at the beach we went to dinner and then shopping in Province Town. It is always breezy there right by the water. I completely forgot a hair tie...so wind whipped wasn't even the word.
